Breaking news! On 2 April 2014, was anounced that a long-lost film starring British star Betty Balfour has been found in the collection Eye Film Institute in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
After more than ninety years, the silent film Love, Life and Laughter (George Pearson, 1923), starring Betty Balfour was recovered. A copy of the British masterpiece was found in the inventory of bioscoop/theater De Vries (cinema/theatre De Vries) , a former cinema in Hattem, the Netherlands. The film was listed as one of the British Film Institute’s ‘75 Most Wanted’ lost films.
